Interesting interview

For those who are keen to find out more about Antonio Tapia and his way of thinking, (and there is not much information in English on the coach), here is an interview he did with Guillem Balague. While it was conducted when he was still Malaga’s coach, it gave a good insight into his mentality.

I for one was glad to gleam the following points:

- Tapia is first and foremost a defensive minded coach

- He is open to using young players (spelling hope for Diego Segura and Manu Gavillan)

- He is not afraid to make substitutions when needed

- He is a man manager rather than one who is enslaved to a particular system
